Yea- the space is ok. Thanks for following along! Trying not to focus too much on the days left and trying to focus on the work... so we'll see how that goes. Mrs. C thanks for sending me pics from home! I always love that!
Nichole: This is the first time that I have viewed your blog site. It is very informative and it shows that you are very active in what you are doing. It is great to see that you have a passion for what you are doing. Susie and I, Steve, will continue to pray for you.
Nicole Hang in there! What an amazing experience. It's the only time in your life you'll make someone cry just by looking at you! Oh, I take that back...your mom will cry when she sees you on US soil again, I'm sure! How funny, though, to be the first white person someone has ever seen! I decided to pray for you every time I see a spider (or a spider's web). Wow! I guess God really wants me to pray for you, because I'm suddenly seeing them everywhere!
Hi Nicole, Wow! You are really having a total experience. Thanks for keeping the rest of us updated. Aunt Judy and I are praying for you often, that you won't feel overwhelmed by the great needs all around you. Also that yo have good social times. I'm sure it gets lonely workig in the house all day.
Last night I watched a Bill Moyers Journal piece on the recent women's movement in Liberia, how through nonviolent protest the women went to the streets and brought about major changes in the country, including the election of President Sirleaf, the only woman head of state in Africa. All Africa is watching Liberia to see how a woman does in leading a country.
Things are well here in the great state of Minnesota. God be with you always.
I am working on my masters in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition with international focuses in Humanitarian Assistance and Nutrition Interventions- at Tufts University. I am an RD and I am working in Liberia for the summer.
